Product Development Process

  • Episode 1 - Research & Concept Ideation

Benchmark Analysis
This is the process where we look at similar existing products, we compare them
and "break them down", understanding their standards, qualities and weaknesses

Ethnographic Site/User Visits
As part of our analysis we visit sites and observe users, to put the human experience
at the centre of our research

Concept Synthesis
This is the process where we start translating observations and findings into initial ideas.
We deal with the complexities and the differences of each project differently and often this
process is a mix of creativity, emotional energy, rationality, an organized chaos where
nothing is linear

User Testing or Focus Groups
Conceptual ideas can start being tested immediately, before they are transformed into designs.
This is how we get an immediate sense of reality and how we free our concepts from our own ego

  • Episode 2 - Design Ideation

Design Synthesis
Through the results of our analysis we "rebuild" our concepts and give them a final physical form

Soft Prototypes
Whether it's a model for an interface, a physical object or a website, prototypes are essential to
understanding and testing. This is a quick process, where we immediately put our designs to the test

User Testing or Focus Groups
Designs are finally proposed to a real audience, giving us the opportunity to further test, observe
and possibly evolve our solutions

  • Episode 3 - Production Ideation

Production Synthesis
Through this process we define and suggest production methods

Visual Prototype
A real prototype is achieved, visually closer to a real product

Working Prototype
With this process we achieve a working model as close as possible to a real product.
All aspects are considered : mechanical, electrical, sensorial

Manufacturing Support
We help clients through all aspects of interacting with manufacturers to ensure the highest
quality production
